😰 Open source AI is sneaking up on ChatGPT and Google. And yeah, they’re sweatin’ it.
Open-source AI is gaining on Google and ChatGPT, thanks to Meta Platforms' decision to give academics access to sophisticated machine-learning models. This has led to the development of free alternatives to ChatGPT and other proprietary AI software that are "reasonably close" in performance. This is a big deal because it could level the playing field for AI innovation and democratize access to AI technology. Recently a leaked memo from within Google admitted to not being protected against this open innovation.
We have no moat. And neither does OpenAI.
Here at Prompterr, we think this is a good thing. The most transformative technology since the internet or blockchain should not be controlled by just a few mega companies and from the looks of it, that’s where we’re headed.

👀 Amazon might add “ChatGPT-like” conversational AI to it’s product search
Amazon is hiring AI engineers to build a ChatGPT-like search interface for its online store. The new search feature will offer an interactive conversational experience to help users find products, compare them, receive personalized suggestions and more. The move is part of Amazon's efforts to transform its search feature and offer users a more valuable way to find products. The job postings suggest that Amazon is working on a new AI-first initiative to re-architect and reinvent search through the use of next-generation deep learning techniques.

🙀 The AI revolution can be scary, but it’s (likely) not the end of the world
Artificial intelligence (AI) often generates a doomsday reaction from the public, partly due to our innate fear of the unknown and partly due to movies that portray AI as a destructive force. However, this fear is often exaggerated and used as a marketing tool by the tech industry. While there are real concerns about AI, such as its potential to spread misinformation and automate jobs. There are other theories that AI could create tons of new jobs! These issues are not unique to AI and are more political than technological. Instead of focusing on an AI apocalypse, we should approach AI with awe and curiosity, rather than fear and cynicism.

🤓 Tip of the day - 6 Midjourney pro user hacks
Here are 6 amazing pro tips to take your mid-journey prompting game to another level. If you're interested in AI text to image generation, these tips will help you get the best results. Let's go!
Visual aids - use images as prompts:
One powerful way to prompt Midjourney is by using images. Simply type "/blend" and upload two to five images. Midjourney will blend them into a cohesive image. It's an easy and effective method to get amazing results.Rock the double colon:
To ensure Midjourney treats different concepts as separate elements, use a double colon ":" to separate them in your prompt instead of a comma. For example, if you want a bull and a frog, instead of typing "bull, frog" use "bull :: frog" to get the desired results 🐸.Use “describe” to see how AI interprets an image:
It is extremely helpful to see how Midjourney interprets an image. You can use this to help inform your prompts. Type “/describe” and drag and drop or upload an image and see 4 examples of how Midjourney would describe it. Take that prompt and tweak what you like to generate your own images using similar art styles.Just say “no!”, to exclude unwanted elements:
Sometimes you may want to exclude specific elements or colors from the generated image. Use the parameter "--no" followed by the keyword you want to exclude. You can also use a double colon and "-0.5" to reduce the presence of a particular color.Fire up the the Niji model to get your anime on:
If you're looking to generate images with an animated or illustrative style, activate the Niji model by typing "--niji" in your prompt. This parameter can produce different and unique results.Get the aspect ratio you want
Sometimes you want that landscape or portrait aspect ratio. Midjourney has a specific command for this. For example if you want 16:9 type “--ar 16:9” or “--aspect 16:9” at the end of your prompt.
Common aspect ratios to try:
--ar 1:1 (default)
--ar 5:4 (common print)
--ar 3:2 (common photography)
--ar 7:4 (common HD TV and smartphone screens)
These 6 Midjourney prompt tips will help you unlock the full potential of AI text to image generation. Happy prompting!
