🔎 Bill Gates says top AI agent will replace search (thx capn’ Obvious!)

In what probably is the most no-brainer prediction in the history of mankind, Bill Gates says the top AI agent will replace search. I am truly speechless. This "prediction" is about as bold as predicting rain in Oregon. Gee, Bill, what gave it away? The fact that my phone's been suggesting the perfect pair of sneakers for me since 2020?

All joking aside, I think we all know this is coming soon. What it means however, is still TBD. One thing for sure is that Prompterr will have your back with the latest news and tips to stay on top of these major changes. Me thinks Billy needs to stop making predictions and smash that subscribe button!

🔮 Elon Musk predicts the future of AI (again)

Okay, so here's another gem from our favorite genius-slash-madman, Elon Musk. In his latest proclamation, he's foretelling the future of AI, which, coming from a guy who wants to nuke Mars and shoot cars into space, we should probably listen. Musk foresees AI outpacing human intelligence, which, given how 2020 and 2021 went, might not be the highest bar to clear. But hey, considering he's launched rockets and has his own cybertruck, we should probably take him seriously, right?

Midjourney outtake:

Elon touched the crystal ball and grew new pinky fingers. Imagine how much better at prompting he will be! (Bill gates predicted this would happen)

🙈 MIT has 6 ways we can regulate AI

Here's the lowdown on the hot topic, AI regulation. This insightful article from MIT Technology Review lays out the landscape of possible ways we can put some limits on our robot overlords before it’s too late.

  1. Legislation
The implementation of legally binding laws to establish clear standards and boundaries for AI use.

  2. Industry Self-Regulation
Encouraging the tech industry to create and enforce their own ethical guidelines and standards.

  3. Market Mechanisms
Allowing the dynamics of the market, such as supply, demand, and competition, to naturally regulate the use and development of AI.

  4. International Agreements
Proposing that nations collaborate on global regulations and standards to manage AI developments.

  5. Public Pressure
Recognizing the power of public opinion to shape the behavior of tech companies and influence AI regulation.

  6. Education and Awareness
Promoting a broader understanding of AI technologies to enable informed decision-making.

The article underscores that the future of AI regulation lies in a combined approach, leveraging these six strategies for a balanced and ethical management of AI technology. I just wonder who’s gonna take the lead and get these regulations going before it’s too late!

🕹️ Blizzard gaming is training their image generator

Blizzard Entertainment is utilizing Generative A.I. in game development by using an image generator trained on assets from World of Warcraft to create new designs. Looks like AI is already having an impact on how games will be made in the near future!

Market dips after AI generated image of explosion near Pentagon goes viral 😬🤦‍♂️

Well, my fellow Prompterr’s, here's another reminder to practice safe prompting. Or always think before your prompt. Or some other kind of clever advice that will help you not do something stupid like this. An image depicting a fake explosion near the Pentagon went viral today, leading to a minor hiccup in the stock market. The image, as realistic as it was, turned out to be the handiwork of AI technology, shaking up our trust in what we see online and causing a ripple of panic that even Wall Street felt.

It’s getting a little crazy out there in AI world. Just a reminder to y’all that with great AI image-generating power, comes great responsibility! 🕷️🕸️

🤓 Tip of the Day - Just say “NO” to using AI generative images to fake national emergencies. 👆

🛠️ Tools to try - user character.ai to live out your fanboy (or fangirl) dreams!

Check out this Mashable piece on AI character generators. Here's the scoop. They use sophisticated algorithms to create lifelike, unique characters for all sorts of creative projects like games, stories, and more. They're designed to save creators hours of painstaking work and brainstorming by generating character details from basic information you provide - think traits, backstory, physical attributes, and so on. The article also unpacks how this tech is built on complex artificial intelligence models and is continually improving. It's pretty exciting stuff – a game-changer for storytellers and game devs alike. Definitely worth a read if you're into AI or creative work!
